Han börjar själv att spela guru och upptäcker hur lätt det är att få efterföljare. Programmet heter "Guru Lurifax", han kallar sig Kumaré och hittar på en massa plattityder.  Hans sista budskap till dem är att finna gurun inom sig själv. Efter att tydligt ha sagt detta avslöjar han sig för sina "lärjungar". Reaktionerna blir delade men de flesta tycks ta det på rätt sätt.
Under årens lopp är det många ungdomar i västvärlden som lurats av dessa gurus. Ta Beatles till exempel och deras guru som blev en världskändis på grund av dem. Sedan upptäckte de att sex och pengar var viktiga saker för honom. Som John sa senare "There is no guru. You have to believe in yourself. You've got to get down to your own God in your own temple. It's all down to you, mate."

The reactions were a bit different but most people seem to take it the right way.
Over the years, many young people in the West was duped by these gurus. Take the Beatles, for example, and their guru who became a worldwide celebrity because of them. Then they discovered that sex and money were important things for him. As John said later, "There is no guru. You have to believe in yourself.'ve Got to get down to your own God in your own temple.
